You’ve probably seen this by now: According to a recently released report, Sault Ste. Marie is one of Canada’s least happy communities.

The Sault placed 97th out of 100 on the so-called “happiness index,” ahead of only Windsor, North Bay and London, Ont.

The report — which analyzed 30 “happiness-related metrics,” including median after-tax income, commute times, housing values, air quality, poverty rates and even rainfall levels — was put together by Point2Homes, a real-estate listing portal.

The conclusion? The Sault's happiness index is a measly 39.01 out of a possible 100 — and we ranked dead last when it comes to health and wellness, and 98th in location and demographics.

We want to know what you think about this report. Is Sault Ste. Marie really such an unhappy city? Please fill out our poll and we'll report back later on the results.
