Police statement on yesterday's Carmen's Way crash

***************************** On May 27 at approximately 9:06 a.m., two vehicles were involved in a collision at the intersection of Queen Street West and Carmen’s Way.

A pickup truck driven by a 28-year-old male was eastbound on Queen Street West and attempted to turn north onto Carmen’s Way across the path of a westbound car that was being driven by a 59-year-old male.

The truck was subsequently struck and the driver of the car sustained minimal injuries that required medical attention.

The driver of the truck was charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario for failing to afford a reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision while making a left turn.
