Police seek public's assistance in collision investigation

***************************** Sault Ste. Marie Police Service traffic unit requesting public’s assistance with vehicle pedestrian collision investigation

Traffic services are currently investigating a collision involving a Chevrolet pickup and a female pedestrian that occurred around 12:30 p.m. today.

The female pedestrian was crossing northbound in the pedestrian cross walk from the Pee Wee Arena to the Metro Grocery Store on Northern Avenue when she was struck by a tan coloured Chev pickup.

The driver of the truck failed to stop and left the scene.

The female was taken to hospital for treatment of what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.
