Armed robbery reported - Lone male with a handgun

BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION - On February 14, 2012 at 7:40 p.m. Batchewana First Nation Police and OPP were dispatched to an armed robbery at Genes Variety Store located on Pontiac St.

A female attendant was working alone when a lone male entered the store with a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from the till and then fled the scene.

The male is described as 5 ft 8 inches tall with short, brush cut blond hair. 

He wore a grey mask that covered his face from the nose down, a black plaid hoodie jacket and black gloves.
