************************* Three arrested after breaking into residence on Base Line

Yesterday afternoon at 12:45 p.m., City Police received information regarding a break and enter into a residence that had just occurred in the 2000 block of Base Line.

The suspects were observed departing the residence carrying a large duffle bag and a possible rifle and getting into to a waiting vehicle.

Police received a description of the fleeing vehicle and the suspects and a search began.

Officers received further information that several firearms were stolen in the break and enter.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., police observed the suspect vehicle leaving a residence in the 600 block of Albert Street West and a vehicle stop was conducted on John Street.

Two of the suspects, one male and one female adult, were arrested during the vehicle stop and the large canvas duffle bag, stolen from the residence, was located.

A third male adult was arrested just outside the residence on Albert Street West a short time later.

A search warrant was conducted early this morning at the Albert Street West residence and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

The three persons arrested are currently in custody and are to appear in bail court this morning.

Their names and charges will be released shortly.
