************************* Robbery investigation
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating a convenience store robbery that occurred on the 8th of January at approximately 3:34 a.m. at the Mac’s Mart on Wellington Street West.
It is alleged that a lone male attended at the store at 3:28 a.m. with a black ski mask covering his face, brandishing a knife and robbed the till of an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect fled on foot.
Police searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating him.
The clerk was not physically injured.
The male suspect was described as approximately 5’9-5’11”, 19-23 years of age, with dark-coloured hair, wearing a black ski mask, black nylon jacket with fur on the collar, black jeans, black gloves with yellow stripes and black DC running shoes.
************************* Break and enter
An apartment was in the 400 block of Cathcart Street was broken into on the 9th of January.
Nothing was reported stolen.
