******************** Police training exercise - May 8, 2007, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is partnering with the Finnish Rest Home and the Alzheimer Society to conduct a major training exercise on May 8, 2007.

The training exercise will involve a missing Finnish Rest Home resident that suffers from Alzheimer disease and wanders off the Finnish Rest Home site.

This training exercise will involve officers from the emergency services unit, canine unit and patrol services.

An extensive ground search will take place in the designated areas of the Finnish Rest Home at 723 North Street and the Fort Creek Conservation Area.

The exercise will commence at approximately 8 a.m. and be concluded by 3 p.m.
