************************* Youth arrested for theft and possession charges

Early yesterday morning, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 16-year-old male for trespassing by night on Palace Drive.

It is alleged that the accused was trespassing in yards of several residences in the "P-Patch."

It is further alleged that upon searching the accused, the officers located property stolen from vehicles in the neighbourhood.

The youth is charged with two counts of trespass by night, two counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

The youth will be appearing in court on August 31 at 9:30 a.m.

************************* Break and enter

- A break and enter was reported to an apartment in the 400 block of Queen Street West. Medication and identification was stolen.

- An attempted break and enter was reported to a residence in the 100 block of Grace Street.

************************* Theft

- A bicycle was reported stolen from the 100 block of Pleasant Drive.
