Police investigate rash of dumpster fires

****************************** Dumpster fires under investigation

Investigation Services are currently investigating four dumpster fires that occurred in various areas of the city from the 30th of September to the early morning hours of the 1st of October.

The first fire occurred on the 30th of September at 8:21 p.m. in the dumpster of Etienne Brule Public School on John Street.

The second fire was in the dumpster at the Court House on Queen Street East on the 1st of October at 6:24 a.m.

The third fire was reported on the 1st of October at 7:07 a.m. in the garbage can near the dumpster at Precious Blood Cathedral on Queen Street East.

The last fire was in the dumpster behind an apartment building on Manilla Terrace at approximately 7:19 a.m. on the 1st of October.

There are no other details to release at this time.

****************************** Scarecrow fire

A scarecrow on the property of a residence on Boundary Road was set on fire.

****************************** Break and enter reports

- A residence on Beverley Street was entered in the afternoon on the 1st of October. A laptop computer a camera a credit card and television were reported stolen.

- A trailer was entered at Johnson’s RV on Trunk Road a fridge/freezer and a stereo system were reported stolen.

- A residence on Albert Street West was entered sometime overnight on the first of October. Tools, CDs and light fixtures were reported stolen.

- The Natural Resources Canada building on Airport Road was entered sometime overnight on the 1st of October. It is not known if anything was stolen.
