Plane that landed on highway was coming from West Parry Sound (2 photos)

And it was headed for Wawa

OPP say the plane which made an emergency landing last night on a northern Ontario highway was on its way to Wawa.

One person, the male pilot, was on board the Ultra-Light airplane when it made an emergency landing at about 8:20 p.m. last night on the Hwy. 129, about 27 kilometres south of Chapleau.

In a news release issued this morning, OPP said the plane took off from the West Parry Sound area.

No collision occurred and no injuries were reported, said OPP.

Transport Canada has been called to investigate.
