About 3,700 screaming girls and 14 guys watched as four of the original five members of the Backstreet Boys danced themselves into a lather tonight in the Sault's newly named Essar Centre.

No longer boys and all grown up, A. J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and Nick Carter wooed as the girls swooned.

And screamed.

And screamed some more.

Later, when SooToday.com walked past the back entrance of the Essar Centre at 11:15 p.m., we saw a sizable crowd of die-hard fans still hanging around the band's four tour buses, as roadies loaded five tractor-trailers nearby and two police cruisers monitored the action.

Full coverage of the Backstreet Boys' Sault performance, including photo gallery, will be posted Thursday afternoon on SooToday.com's entertainment page.
