************************* Pedestrian struck by vehicle

A 27-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck on the 25th of January at 1:17 p.m. on Huron Street at Queen Street West.

It is alleged that the pedestrian was crossing Huron Street west from the northeast corner of the intersection but did so against the pedestrian no-cross signal.

As a result, she walked into the path of a motor vehicle that had made a left-hand turn from Queen Street West onto Huron Street.

She was taken to hospital via ambulance where she was treated for minor non-life-threatening injuries.

The 51-year-old driver of the pickup truck was uninjured in the collision.
