***************************** ADAMS, Paul - The family announces, with regret, his death at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Thursday, June 24. 

He was christened Robert Paul at birth in Toronto by his parents, Walter and Mabel (both deceased), but was consistently called Paul.

He is survived by his wife, Rita (Nevin), and their four sons Michael of Sault Ste. Marie, Paul of Toronto, Stephen and his wife Jennifer of Ottawa and Patrick of London, U.K. 

He is the grandfather of Sarah Elizabeth Adams of Calgary and Mark and Sean Adams of Ottawa. 

He is survived by his brother Tom and by his sister Betty McGirr of Irvine, California and her sons. 

He is predeceased by his brother Jack of London, ON whose wife Kaye continues to reside there with her sons. 

He is the brother-in-law and friend of Leonard Nevin and uncle to his daughters Teresa and Patricia of Sault Ste. Marie and Christopher of Winnipeg. 

Paul was a retired partner of KPMG and for many years the auditor of Algoma Steel Corporation. 

His favourite place in the world was his camp on Batchewana Bay; while there he was a parishioner of Mary, Mother of God parish at Goulais and served on their parish council.

Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Tuesday, June 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Jerome’s Church on Wednesday, June 30 at 10 a.m. to be followed by a reception in the parish hall. 

Msgr. Victor Amadio officiating. 

The family wishes to thank all those of the medical profession who attended to Paul, especially those at the Cancer Clinic, on 300 Y at the General Hospital, and at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice. 

Memorial contributions to the SAH Cancer Care Fund, A.R.C.H. or the Soup Kitchen would be appreciated.
