************************* Theft under $5,000

Yesterday afternoon, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old female for theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that the accused entered the Zellers Store in the Station Mall and stole a package of sunscreen.

The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to the City Police.

It is further alleged that at the time of this offence, the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions to keep the peace and be good and to notify the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service of any change of address.

Sasha Daigle, age 20, of 277 Northern Avenue Apartment 309 is charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and two counts of breach of a recognizance.

She will be appearing in court on August 30 at 9 a.m.

************************* Break and enters

Break and enters were reported to the following locations:

- The 100 block of Weldon Avenue - construction site of the F.H. Clergue School. Tools were stolen.

- The 400 block of John Street – medication was taken.

- The 100 block of Willow Avenue- unknown at this time what was taken.

- The 600 block of North Street – unknown what was taken.

- The 3800 block of Queen Street East – electronics taken.

************************* Theft

Bicycles were stolen from the following locations:

- The 500 block of Korah Road, the 1200 block of Second Line West, the 100 block of Euclid Road and the 300 block of Cathcart Street.

- A vehicle parked in the 200 block of Cathcart Street was entered. Identification was taken.
