Paige's glorious Fourth (video, 63 photos)

Paige Dietrich was greeting her many fans and admirers tonight from the Tidy House Cleaning Service entry in the Michigan Soo's 2007 Independence Day parade.

Hundreds lined the sides of Ashmun and Front Streets as classic cars, fire engines, horses and other assorted Independence Day parade participants passed by, all decked out in red, white and blue.

Later, came the all-important fireworks, which by common consensus of spectators, put our Canada Day pyrotechnics to shame.

"Now these are fireworks!" could be heard throughout the crowds on the Canadian side of the St. Marys River.

Ironically, Canadians got a better view of tonight's action than their American counterparts, because the wind was blowing all the smoke toward the American side.

The grand finale was so impressive that even a police boat was seen scurrying for cover.
