SooToday.com has received the following letter from a loyal reader who is also a concerned parent:

************************* Hello,

I am the mother of two children, one of whom is currently in school at St. Bernadette.

I live close by the school and cannot help but notice the traffic behind the school and the lack of sidewalks for children to use.

I watch many children walk to school from their homes in the area and the cars and trucks that come around the corners at high speeds are unbelievable.

The worst corner is at Palace and Placid, where it is nearly a blind corner to drive around, yet drivers still speed through this area.

I am a very concerned parent and do not want to hear of any children getting hit on these corners because of irresponsible drivers.

Please, to all who travel this stretch of road - please take into consideration those who walk to school in this area.

It is a school zone!

Thank you.
