The Sault Ste Marie Military Family Support Group advises that Amy Barbarie will be arriving at the Sault Ste. Marie Airport at 5:48 p.m. today.
Amy has been working at the Tim Horton's in Afghanistan for the past six months, on her second tour of duty there.
Meanehile, the Sault Ste Marie Military Family Support Group has provided up with this update on its activities:
**************************** The Sault Ste Marie Military Family Support Group (SSM MFSG) will be working with eleven families of deployed Canadian Forces Regular Forces members, one family of a deployed American Regular Force member and one civilian’s family while they are serving in Afghanistan.
The facilitator and outreach coordinator May Adshead and her volunteers will be kept busy with a monthly support group meeting, biweekly spousal tea socials, Heart Line calls (five recently trained volunteers), upcoming Remembrance Day, volunteer appreciation event, military children’s Christmas party, SSM MFSG Christmas social, other support tasks and many other events throughout the year.

Returning at the beginning of November is Amy Barbarie who is working as a civilian with Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (CFPSA) after a six-month deployment.
Returned from the most recent tour was Roy Harten as a civilian with CFPSA and Col. Cameron Ross.
Christmas cards are welcomed by the SSM MFSG and may be dropped off at the office at the Armoury which will be sent to the deployed members no later than November 17, 2009.
The Sault Ste. Marie and area public are encouraged to keep up the yellow ribbons or refresh them and keep these families in your thoughts and prayers.
They do not go unnoticed.
