In an Ottawa courtroom Friday afternoon, Sault native Patrick King was denied bail by Justice of the Peace Andrew Seymour.

King, a prominent leader of the recent Ottawa convoy protest, will remain in custody until his trial on criminal charges of mischief, counselling to commit mischief, counselling to disobey a court order and counselling to obstruct police.

"A reasonable person, properly informed, will lose confidence in the administration of justice should Mr. King be released," Seymour said.
