COCHRANE, Ont. — Electrified brass knuckles were among the items seized by police executing a search warrant.

On Jan.10, James Bay OPP received a harassment call in Cochrane. 

It resulted in a 37-year-old resident being charged with criminal harassment and break and enter. Due to the domestic nature of the charges, police are not releasing the name of the accused in order to protect the victim.

The accused was released from police custody after appearing in bail court. 

On Jan. 15, police executed a search warrant at a Third Avenue residence in Cochrane and seized prohibited weapons. 

The accused was further charged with four counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, and four counts of failing to comply with a release order. 

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing Monday.
