OPP investigate sudden death of Monteith inmate

IROQUOIS FALLS - (March 13) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a sudden death at Monteith Correctional Complex, Monteith Ontario.

The body of an inmate was located in his cell by Monteith Correctional Complex staff shortly after 5 a.m. this morning.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2009 in Sudbury.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation is under the direction of Detective Inspector Guy Faucher, OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
