************************** Collision leads to impaired driving charges

WAWA, ON - At approximately 7:30 p.m. last night, the Superior East Wawa OPP were called to a single motor vehicle collision located 35 kilometres south of Wawa on Highway 17.

Officers attended and located a motor vehicle in the southbound ditch.

No injuries were reported however further investigation resulted in the seizure of liquor and the arrest of the driver, 30-year-old Waylon Poling of Armstrong, Ontario.

Poling was charged with impaired driving and over 80 milligrams, then released on a promise to appear and is required to attend court in Wawa today.

A 90-day licence suspension was also served.
