OPP chase stolen vehicle from B.C.

Ontario Provincial Police are chasing a stolen vehicle that fled north out of the city on Great Northern Road this morning. Around 5:30 a.m. today City Police officers noticed a suspicious vehicle at the rear of the Zellers Store on Northern Ave.

Ontario Provincial Police are chasing a stolen vehicle that fled north out of the city on Great Northern Road this morning.

Around 5:30 a.m. today City Police officers noticed a suspicious vehicle at the rear of the Zellers Store on Northern Ave.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle it sped off, prompting police to pursue it.

The vehicle was followed along Northern Avenue to Pine Street and back onto Northern Avenue before the suspects fled north on Great Northern Road toward the City limits.

The vehicle turned out to have been reported stolen in British Columbia.

When it was determined that the vehicle was heading out of town, O.P.P. were asked to help.

City Police say that as of 7:15 this morning the vehicle was still being followed by the O.P.P.
