Essar Steel Algoma Inc. has announced a community open house for next week to release information about the terms and conditions of the certificate of approval for its new #6 Blast Furnace.

Meanwhile, SooToday.com has received a note and the photo shown - taken at the end of Goulais Ave. - from West End resident Lynn Burnett who lives near the steel plant.

"It makes me sick to my stomach knowing that my children are breathing this air," Lynn writes.

"I feel that people that don't live around this, don't truly realize what we in the West End have to put up with every cloudy day. "

Full details about Essar Steel Algoma Inc.'s open house have been posted on SooToday.com's Green page.
