SAULT STE. MARIE FIRE SERVICES

************************* Effective Monday, April 11, 2011, the ban on open air burning within the municipality of Sault Ste. Marie has been lifted.

All open air burning requires prior approval from Fire Services.

Any contravention of the approval will result in an immediate 90-day suspension and/or charges under the Fire Protection and Prevention Act.

Fire Services will continue to monitor conditions and notify the public accordingly.

To obtain a burn permit call Fire Prevention at 705-949-3377.
