Oops...police identify wrong trailer park

SooToday.com received the following correction and apology from the OPP Constable Bill Mackan concerning a news release sent out this morning.

HEYDEN, ON - (January 25) - This morning Sault Ste. Marie OPP issued a media release identifying a location where a quantity of drugs were seized.

I identified the location as Forest Crescent, Beaumont Trailer Park.

It has been brought to our attention that we published the wrong address.

The correct address should have been Forest Crescent, Pioneer Trailer Park in Heyden.

I apologize to the owners and residents of Beaumont Trailer Park for this error and any confusion this may have caused.

Domestic finds dope

HEYDEN, ON - On Wednesday January 23 at about 3 p.m., Sault Ste. Marie OPP were called to a Pioneer Trailer Park home for a potential domestic incident.

The investigation did reveal that there were no domestic issues but police did find a grow-op in the house.

Police seized 50 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

Police also seized processed marijuana and the lighting, heating and other equipment necessary to grow marijuana in the house.

Police estimate that the drugs and the operation is potentially worth about $50,000.

Charged with two counts of production and possession of a controlled drug under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act is 43-year-old Mark Adcock of 43 Forest Crescent, Pioneer Trailer Park in Heyden.

Mr. Adcock will appear in court on March 17.
