Ooo! Aaah! Fireworks! (video, 31 photos)

Chantiel, Sienna and Chloe Rackham were among the thousands of eager firework seekers who clustered along the Sault's waterfront last night as Canada celebrated its 141st birthday.

The trio, proudly wearing the colours of our nation, were front and centre as the Fairlane Cruisers played the Roberta Bondar Pavilion just prior to the firework presentation.

To see other patriotic Saultites that SooToday.com spotted at the celebration, please view the photo gallery below.

Face painters, balloon artists, cotton candy flossers and vendors of every variety of munchie imaginable were buzzing with activity until dusk fell and the sky lit up with the traditional Canada Day pyrotechnics display.

A chorus of ooo's and aaah's echoed over the water, mixed with a few crying babies, startled by the big kabooms.

The day-long celebration at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion began at 2 p.m. and included illusionist Mark Crocker, the Sherry Walsh Academy of Dance Arts and the Burton Clan Family Band.

We would like to thank Stan Elliott who submitted some spectacular shots of the fireworks included in the photo gallery.

SooToday.com's Tyler Simpson captured the fireworks in the video below.
