Ontario Sault's first baby is a girl!

The Ontario Sault's first baby of 2011 is Elaina Jade Donovan, born at 8:10 p.m. yesterday at Sault Area Hospital after more than nine hours of labour. Proud mom Ashly Hudebine tells SooToday.

The Ontario Sault's first baby of 2011 is Elaina Jade Donovan, born at 8:10 p.m. yesterday at Sault Area Hospital after more than nine hours of labour.

Proud mom Ashly Hudebine tells SooToday.com that Elaina came into the world weighing seven pounds, 13 ounces, measuring 21 and a half inches long.

"She was very stubborn. She did not want to come out, she was overdue," Ashly says, explaining that the baby was originally due on Christmas Eve and the birth finally had to be induced.
