Ontario Lottery and Gaming gets some sticks in the game

************************* Ontario Lottery and Gaming signs with the CARHA Hockey World Cup 2012

The Canadian Adult Recreational Hockey Association (CARHA Hockey) and the CARHA Hockey World Cup (CHWC) are pleased to announce the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) as an official Partner of the 2012 event, which is slated for March 4 to 11 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

“This will be the first time OLG is partnering with the CHWC and we are very pleased to have them on board and experience our international recreation hockey community,” said Lori Lopez, Director of Business Operations at CARHA Hockey.

"We are very proud to support the 2012 CARHA Hockey World Cup taking place in Sault Ste. Marie. In addition to being a strong community partner through our sponsorship of over 200 community events per year across Ontario, OLG also supports amateur athletics through the Quest for Gold lottery program which generates $10 million each year in support of Ontario amateur athletes. We look forward to welcoming all participants and spectators to this International tournament." said OLG’s Corporate Events and Community Relations Manager, Jennifer Barban.

OLG is the provincial agency responsible for province wide lottery games and gaming facilities.

Proceeds generated go to support Ontario’s hospitals, amateur sport, recreational and cultural activities, communities and provincial priority programs.
