************************* At approximately 5:40 p.m. yesterday afternoon, City Police attended at an address on Cathcart Street and arrested a 26-year-old male on several warrants.

It is alleged that on the 26th of June the accused assaulted his common-law partner by punching her in the face and grabbing her hair.

It is further alleged that on June 29 the accused attended at the Station Mall Island Ink kiosk and stole a purse.

The accused is further alleged to have stolen a bicycle from 111 Tancred Street on July 13.

At the time of his arrest the accused was searched by police and a small quantity of hashish was located on him.

At the time of all these offences the accused was on a probation order release.

The accused, a 26-year-old male is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of theft under $5,000, one count of assault and four counts of breach of probation.
