OPP NEWS RELEASE

************************* BONFIELD TWP – North Bay OPP and members of the traffic technical collision investigation (TTCI) are currently investigating a fatal as a result of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17, approximately two kilometres east of Highway 531.

The collision occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. today (Friday, July 31).

Three vehicles were involved and six people were transported to local hospitals for varying injuries.

Since, four have been treated and released, one held for further treatment (unknown condition), and a 19-year-old female succumbed to her injuries.

At this time, all names are being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

Traffic was rerouted via Line 3 South and Trunk Road Bonfield and should be re-opened in the following few hours.
