Northern Ontario's playoff hopes crushed at the Brier

Despite a 6-1 win over New Brunswick on Thursday afternoon at the Tim Hortons Brier in London, Sault Ste. Marie's Brad Jacobs will be left out in the cold when the playoff draws begin tomorrow.

Despite a 6-1 win over New Brunswick on Thursday afternoon at the Tim Hortons Brier in London, Sault Ste. Marie's Brad Jacobs will be left out in the cold when the playoff draws begin tomorrow.

The Northern Ontario representatives out of the Soo Curlers Association, saw their fate sealed when Kevin Martin's Alberta rink defeated the Territories, also in the afternoon's 16th draw.

Jacobs, who carries a 6-4 record, concludes the Brier with their final game on Thursday night against Saskatchewan.

Jacobs is joined by third E.J. Harnden, second Ryan Harnden and lead Scott Seabrook.
