TORONTO - (August 14) - Congratulations to Erica Weegar and Siegbert Taylor - both of North Bay - who said yes to Encore and won $1,000,000 from the August 1, 2009 draw. "I was at the store when I realized we won big," Erica Weegar excitedly said of the pair's top prize win. "I was in shock and couldn't believe we won," Siegbert Taylor added. The pair has various plans for the windfall some of which include: buying a house and new vehicles, and investing and saving a portion. The winning ticket was purchased at Mac's located on Fisher Street in North Bay.

TORONTO - (August 14) - Raymond Gee of Toronto felt a combination of shock and happiness when he checked his ticket using an OLG self ticket checker and saw he won a $10.7 Million Lotto 6/49 jackpot from the July 15, 2009 draw. "At first I thought I won $10,000. I was happy thinking about winning $10,000!" Gee said. He only checked his ticket recently. "This feels surreal," Gee told OLG prize centre staff.

He had no idea he was holding a winning ticket with such a large prize. Gee works in the field of construction material handling.

With the windfall, he plans to pay off bills, help family, travel and maybe retire early. The winning ticket was purchased at Zellers Lottery Kiosk in East York Town Centre in Toronto.
