Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43-year-old Sean McLarty of 55 Edison Avenue at 5:33 p.m. on Cathcart Street after he was allegedly found operating a Ford pickup with no plates on it on Hudson Street while he was disqualified and suspended.

At the time of his arrest he was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of cocaine.

As a result he was charged with one count of driving a motor vehicle while disqualified, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of drive while suspended.

He is to appear in bail court this morning.
