OPP NEWS RELEASE

************************ SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - A Sarnia man has had his licence suspended for the next 90 days and faces a drinking and driving charge from a traffic stop.

Early this morning at about 1:15 a.m., an officer with the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment was behind a vehicle entering the east City limits on Highway 17.

The officers noticed the driver [allegedly] commit a traffic violation and pulled the vehicle over.

The driver showed signs that he had been drinking and he was given a roadside test.

He failed the roadside test and was returned to the police station for further examination.

As a result of this investigation 39-year-old Nigel Jagoo of Sarnia has been charged with one count of driving while over the legal limit of .08 contrary to the Criminal Code.

Mr. Jagoo will be asked to appear in Sault Ste. Marie court on June 4, 2007 to defend his actions.
