Nice picture of Damon Burgess hotspotting in Vegas

SooToday.

SooToday.com has received the following important communiqué from faithful reader Craig Burgess in Las Vegas:

******************** Dave:

I am here in Las Vegas with my brother Damon [shown, third from left, working diligently at industry networking], Dave White from Molson Canada, Joe Iachetta and his lovely wife Angela from Joey Calzone's to name a few.

We have other Saultbies here as well that may want to drop you a line.

It's just like being back home, less about five feet of snow!

The only snow you see here is on the top of the mountains.

It’s actually a very spectacular sight to see.

Damon and I have been coming to Vegas for years on business and we have actually rolled it in to our annual budget as a fixed expense.

The reason for that is it is home to the annual restaurant & bar trade show and convention.

This is one of the largest trade shows in the world related to our industry.

Anyone in any related type of businesses that does not attend this convention is missing out on numerous opportunities to see what is hot and what is not in the restaurant and bar business, and I encourage those who have not attended to consider doing so in the future.

Damon and I are the proud owners of Smokey's Bbq Pit & Patio, Wingnuts Eatery and Top Hat Billiards.

All of these three locations will benefit from the new concepts and new ideas that we will learn at this spectacular event.

There is no reason why Sault Ste. Marie, the most beautiful city in Northern Ontario, should not be a part of the new cutting-edge concepts, offering the absolute best in entertainment and dining experience.

That is our mission here in Las Vegas this year.

Let me not kid you, Dave, we are taking part in some good old-fashioned Vegas fun as well, it’s not all hard work! This year is significantly more important to us though, we are currently developing our calendar of events for Smokey's and are seeking the best possible entertainment concepts we can find in order to provide our customers in the Sault with top-of-the-line concepts this coming summer.

It is also very important for us at Wingnuts too, as we are looking for new flavors of chicken wings to add to our menu and other great menu items.

We have tested over 400 wing variations between the two of us in the past year to come up with 75 flavors.

We must be nuts to have tried so many wings, eh Dave?

But the quest must go on, if I have to try over a 1,000 wings to keep our wing enthusiasts satisfied, I will do so!

Oh Dave, and by the way, we have sold over 300,000 wings to date and counting!

Anyways Dave, it’s a pleasure as always but the show must go on!

My quest will not end until I am completely satisfied with the new ideas I have learned in Vegas this week.

I have sent you a few pictures from the trade show floor.

Sincerely,

Craig Burgess
