************************* Male arrested for theft under $5,000

Yesterday afternoon, City Police attended at the Sears Store in the Station Mall and arrested a 33-year-old male for theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that at approximately 3 p.m., the accused entered the Sears Store and stole a bottle of cologne [not exactly as illustrated] valued at $86.

Accused was apprehended outside the store by security.

Charged with one count of theft under $5,000 is Emanuel Esteves, age 33 of 43 Indiana Drive.

He will be appearing in court on April 26.

************************* Early this morning, City Police arrested an 18-year-old male.

It is alleged that on December 11, 2009 the accused, in the company of two other males, broke into a residence in the 100 block of Breton Road.

It is further alleged that once inside the residence, the three accused assaulted a male resident and demanded money from him.

At the time of this offence the accused was on a probation order release.

Charged with three counts of breach of probation and one count of break and enter with the intent to commit robbery is Andrew Petts, age 18, of no fixed address.

************************** At approx 5:15 p.m. yesterday afternoon, City Police arrested Mitchell Cone, age 37, of no fixed address, on seven counts of breach of a recognizance.

It is alleged that at the time of his arrest the accused was under the influence of alcohol, had possession of alcohol and was not residing where he was directed to live.

************************** Early yesterday morning, City Police arrested a 16-year-old female and charged her with one count of escape from lawful custody.

It is alleged that at approximately 6 p.m. on March 9, the accused escaped from a youth detention centre in the downtown area.

The accused was located in a residence in the north-central part of town.
