Faithful SooToday.com reader Andre Touchette snapped these photos of a New Year's Eve house fire on St. Andrew's Terrace.
Both Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office are investigating the blaze, which sent one person to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The first alarm from the 2½-storey house fire came in at 11:28 p.m.
The house was fully engulfed in flames when the first fire trucks arrived shortly after that.
The structure was heavily damaged on both its main level and second-level bedrooms, from which the roof burned off.
Twenty-three firefighters responded to the call.
The fire took six hours to extinguish.
