New walk-in clinic opens at Cambrian Mall

The SaultCare Walk-in Clinic saw about 70 patients during its opening day yesterday at Cambrian Mall. The clinic provides non-urgent care on a first-come, first-served basis Mondays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The SaultCare Walk-in Clinic saw about 70 patients during its opening day yesterday at Cambrian Mall.

The clinic provides non-urgent care on a first-come, first-served basis Mondays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Its medical staff includes five staff physicians from Sault Area Hospital's emergency department - Derek Garniss, Ehsan Mohammadi, Donald Macintosh, Mark Edwards and Cameron Lane - as well as Alan McLean, chief of staff at Sault Area Hospital.

Starting June 1, the SaultCare clinic will offer the following scheduled appointments Monday to Friday from 8 to 10 a.m: - Prescription renewal.

- Annual physicals.

- Pre-employment physicals.

- Ministry of Transportation driver’s physicals. SaultCare is not currently taking new family practice patients, and doesn't refill prescriptions for narcotics or sedatives.
