RHP Training Centre President, Marc Savard, is please to announce the grand opening of the RHP Training Centre, Sault Ste. Marie location, on Thursday, December 13 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The evening will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony involving Mayor Debbie Amaroso and continue with local skaters demonstrating the Blade Skating Treadmill.

The Sault Ste. Marie location is a 1,000-square-foot Blade Skating Treadmill facility located in the John Rhodes Community Centre across from the pool and is highlighted by the Woodway blade skating treadmill.

The Blade is the best skating tool in the world and is designed to improve and develop skating forms.

The Blade is great for developing and maintaining a longer, more powerful and explosive skating stride for hockey players of all ages as well as movement techniques for goaltenders.

With the Sault location being inside the John Rhodes Community Centre, RHP is steps away from a twin ice pad, pro shop, restaurant, public pool, and sports fields.

“We want hockey and skating athletes in Northern Ontario to stop hoping and wishing for better training opportunities. We want them to expect it. RHP Training Centre and its trainers are here to develop athletes from beginner to pro, providing the best instruction available and giving them the development opportunities they need to reach their goals. RHP Training Centre is a development and teaching facility. In combination with the Blade facility, RHP Training Centre will provide hockey athletes with top quality programming during the winter as well as some of the best Summer Training Camps offered in Ontario,” said Savard.
