McGuinty government helps build state-of-the-art school, invests in the north
Students will attend Canada's first new school of architecture in 40 years in northern Ontario.
Ontario is helping Laurentian University build the new Laurentian University School of Architecture.
The bilingual school will help 400 French and English architecture students study and stay in the North.
The new school will help revitalize downtown Sudbury and set a precedent for green building practices in the region.
The building will be designed to the highest level of sustainability and help students learn the latest concepts in green building design and sustainable development.
Investing in Ontario's roads, highways, transit, hospitals and schools is part of the McGuinty government's plan to create jobs, grow local economies and ensure the province remains strong and competitive for years to come.
