More than 40 years of ground-breaking Canadian music drew a record audience to the Essar Centre last night as the one and only Neil Young made a stop in Sault Ste. Marie during his current cross-Canada tour.

Definitely not burnt out, and obviously not ready to fade away, the 63-year-old grandfather of punk, rock, grunge, folk rock and alt country served two hours of mouth-watering career highlights, slice by slice.

And the 5,000 in attendance gobbled it up then asked for more.

Young made fists pump one moment and grown men cry the next, all with unprecedented artistry, grace and exuberance.

A full review of Neil Young's Sault Ste. Marie performance, including a photo gallery, will be posted on SooToday.com Saturday afternoon.
