Neighbour tracks Goulais burglary suspects

************************* Thieves choose the wrong neighbourhood to break into GOULAIS RIVER, ON - The owners of a camp on Four Seasons Drive in Kars Township should be grateful to watchful neighbours who foiled [alleged] break and enter plans of three young men.

Yesterday, a camp owner on Four Seasons Drive observed a U-Haul van parked in a suspicious manner in the area.

He followed footprints into the driveway and located three males who had [allegedly] broken into the camp.

They fled in the van and the persistent neighbour followed them while calling Sault Ste. Marie OPP.

The vehicle was eventually abandoned and the culprits fled on foot.

In addition to Sault Ste. Marie OPP members, the canine unit and several ERT members were called in to assist in searching for the suspects.

One of the culprits was apprehended by a Sault Ste. Marie OPP officer conducting traffic stops.

The other two were located and apprehended by the canine unit.

Arrested for break and enter are Henry W. Cadreau (26), Shaun Mearow (27) and Ryan Gilbert Wilson (19), all of the Sault Ste. Marie area.

The U-Haul van has been seized for expert investigation.

The investigation is continuing.
