************************* MISSINAIBI, ON - On January 14, 2011, at 11:20 a.m. Superior East OPP in Wawa attended an incident involving a pick-up truck and a CP Rail Bud car collision at the CP Rail crossing on Highway 651, West Twp just outside the village of Missinaibi, ON.

The eastbound rail car struck the pick-up truck at the crossing causing considerable damage to the truck.

The rail car received moderate damage and there were no injuries to the CP crew.

There were no passengers on board. The driver of the truck, 63-year-old Henri Leo Plouffe of Chapleau, ON received only minor injuries and as a result of investigation has been charged with “stop wrong place at rail road crossing” contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
