More walk-in clinic closures this week

************************* Walk-in clinic hours

January 7, 2009 - Sault Area Hospital’s (SAH) walk-in clinic will be closed between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday, January 8.

The clinic will also be closed from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 10.

Patients requiring medical care will be seen in SAH’s emergency department.

Although SAH’s emergency department is open, there will be longer-than-normal waits for patients with non-urgent needs.

Patients are always seen in order of need, with the most urgent cases being given priority.

Patients are encouraged to plan ahead for their non-urgent health-care needs.

Area residents can also call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 for free access to a registered nurse who can assess symptoms and help residents to decide next steps.
