Sault resident wins $881,644 Quarter Millions Progressive Slot Jackpot

Sandro Minelli decided to stop in at OLG Casino Sault Ste. Marie Saturday afternoon while on his way to the Steelback Centre to buy hockey tickets, and walked out with $881,644 - the largest Quarter Millions progressive slot jackpot ever won at your hometown casino.

It took a short while for the win to sink in, with Sandro excitedly asking casino staff: "Did I actually win that (amount)?"

Sandro and his wife Adeline also said the win comes at a great time, just as the older of their two children has left to attend university.

Sandro is an owner and operator of the Minelli’s catering and takeout food service.

Sandro's big win came just before 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 15.

Earlier this year another Sault resident won $271,322 while also playing the progressive jackpot slots.

Bally Quarter Millions Progressives is a linked, slot machine jackpot that can be played at various OLG gaming sites.
