************************** Male arrested for assault

Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 3:50 p.m., City Police were called to O’Aces Bar on Queen Street East regarding an assault.

Upon arrival officers spoke to the complainant and subsequently arrested a male for assault.

It is alleged that Robert Majic, age 35, of 16 Queen Street West Apt. 1, entered the bar in an intoxicated condition and then assaulted a male person in the bar by grabbing him and throwing the male against the wall.

It is further alleged that during the incident the accused was yelling and swearing at other patrons.

At the time of this occurrence the accused [not exactly as illustrated] was on probation with conditions that he not consume alcohol and that he keep the peace.

Mr. Majic is charged with one count of assault, one count of causing a disturbance and two counts of breach of probation.

He will be appearing in court on September 8 at 9 a.m.

The victim did not require medical attention.

The accused and victim were not known to one another.
