Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant:
 
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29-year-old Adam Reed of #1-700 Pine Street on an outstanding warrant on the 3rd of March. 

The accused is charged with one count of fail to attend court for allegedly failing to appear on the 2nd of November in relation to shoplifting related charge. 

Domestic Related Arrest: 

A 26-year-old male is appearing in bail court this morning facing assault charges in relation to a domestic related incident that occurred at his home on the 4th of March. 

He is charged with two counts of assault with regards to the domestic incident and one count of assault peace officer for allegedly slamming the door on one of the responding officers. 

The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Two Impaired Driving Related Charges:

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 22-year-old Cory Stainthorpe of 91 Poplar Avenue on the 2nd of March at 9 pm on Poplar Avenue and charged him with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. 

It is alleged that on the 2nd of March at approximately 8:55 p.m. the accused was observed by police operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed and in an erratic manner in the area McNabb and Brien Street. 

Officers stopped the vehicle on Poplar Avenue and found the driver, the accused, under the influence of alcohol. 

The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of April.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 58 year-old Terrence Matthews of 153 Panoramic Drive on the 3rd of March at 2:04 a.m. on Bruce Street and charged him with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. 

It is alleged that on the 3rd of March just before 2 a.m. officers received a call regarding an impaired driver in the downtown area. 

The vehicle was being operated in an erratic matter, failing to stop for a red light, striking a snowbank and traveling the wrong direction on a one way street. 

Officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle on Bruce Street, and found the driver, the accused, to be under the influence of alcohol. 

The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of April. 

Male Arrested for Mischief: 

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 51-year-old Brian Teal on the 2nd of March at the Station Mall and charged him with one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of intoxicated in a public place. 

It is alleged that on Friday the 2nd of March the accused was in an intoxicated state at a local restaurant/bar and when directed to leave, he smashed a window. 

The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of April. 

Female Arrested for Theft: 

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 18-year-old Amanda Simpson of 9 Bay Road on the 2nd of March and charged her with one count of theft under $5,000. 

It is alleged that on the 2nd of March, while working at a local business, the accused stole money from the cash register.

The accused is to appear in court on the 2nd of April. 

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant: 

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29-year-old Chantelle Bonenfant of #1(Main) 282 Cathcart Street on the 4th of March on an outstanding warrant and charged her with one count of fail to appear court. 

It is alleged that she failed to appear court on the 9th of February in relation to a possession of stolen property charge. 

She is to appear in court on the 16th of April.
