FOREST FIRE SITUATION UPDATE

************************** East Fire Region

Currently there have been no new fires reported for July 13 in the East Fire Region.

There was one new fire confirmed for July 12, Timmins 11 was 0.1 hectares and has been called out.

There are nine active fires throughout the East Fire Region.

The forest fire hazard is moderate to high in the Bancroft and Perry Sound areas, and along Lake Superior beginning at Sault Ste. Marie running north up to Caramat.

The rest of the East Fire Region has a low hazard.

As a reminder, brush and grass fires are to be started no sooner than two hours before sunset and put out no later than two hours after sunrise.

Outdoor fires must be attended at all times and put dead out before leaving the site.
