Missing hikers located at 2:30 a.m.

************************* Last evening at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police and the Sault Search and Rescue were called to the hiking trails north of the Glenwood Cabins regarding three lost hikers.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning the hikers - a 64-year-old male, a 19-year-old male and a 21-year-old female - were located.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to thank all of the services and the volunteers involved in the search.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would also like to remind members of the public that if they are planning to wander in the woods or along hiking trails to familiarize themselves with the area before going out on an excursion.

It would also be advisable to be properly equipped with supplies (i.e. a flashlight, a cell phone and appropriate clothing etc.).
