SooToday.com has received the following notice from the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre regarding local artist "Minto" Purvitis:
************************* PURVITIS, M. – “Minto” died at the General Hospital on Friday, June 27th after suffering a stroke Sunday night.
Survived by his older brother, “Duke” Purvitis.
Minto was a well-known artist, known for his “Minto” wildlife prints done in ink points and meticulous portraits done in coloured pencils.
He was born in Latvia lived in Kaslo, B.C. and Sault Ste. Marie.
In respecting Minto’s wishes there will be no funeral service.
Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (705-759-2522).
